September 1977 issue of Denver magazine. Originally known as the Denver Singles Guide, Denver was your guide to sexy living in the 1970s Mile High City — it contained enough personal ads, guides to the city’s hottest single bars, and photo spreads of Denver’s best bachelor and bachelorette each month that you can still smell the cologne-drenched polyester on each issue. This issue focuses on Denver’s “divorce epidemic” — an issue I have from the previous year looks at “when wife swapping came to Denver,” one following naturally from the other, of course.
